How to draw MSST

tangle pattern: MSST

Msst is an official tangle pattern that’s simple and fun to draw – although I tend to march the dots in straight lines side by side rather than being a little random as rain would no doubt be. My eye seems to watch the line before and before I know it, bang, the next dot ends up smack beside the previous line.

You certainly can’t let your mind wander with any pattern. I find if I turn the tile upside down it’s easier for me to draw the wavy lines than if I try to do them from the top down. Do you find it easier to draw lines in one particular direction? I have to experiment with each pattern to find the most comfortable direction that produces the best results. It’s so much fun when you get those “Ah hah” moments!

Sandy Bartholomew shows us how to draw Msst, here.
