Guest Contributor: CZT Barbara Langston’s excellent video guide on how to use TanglePatterns.com

Hi everyone! Today I have a special treat for you.

Recently I received an email from Texas CZT Barbara Langston requesting my permission for her to make a video tutorial on how to use the site:

I use your site almost daily, and want to show some of my favorite things, but I want to check with you first to make sure it’s OK. 

My idea is to show things that they might not have noticed in the menus and in the side bars. I just plan to quickly cover many of the basics.

We agreed Barbara would upload the video for my review before she went live and I gave my permission to proceed.

With my blessing for her efforts and her great idea, Barbara just created this excellent video tutorial for her YouTube channel. In her calm and relaxed manner, she guides you through her favorite features and shows you how to get the most out of using the TanglePatterns.com site.

BTW, for the sake of information completeness, Barbara sent me a followup email:

Meet Barbara …

Barbara lives in League City, Texas.

I found Zentangle while taking a class at a local college when I saw the poster of 102 Tangles. I was instantly attracted. I learned on my own until I finally met CZT Victoria McMillen and took her class. In June 2019 I attended CZT Seminar 34 and got my certificate.

I am a veteran and originally hoped to work with veterans who suffer from PTSD and others with anxiety problems. I had just started teaching Zentangle classes at that same local college, then Covid shut it down.

I now have a YouTube channel called “Not Perfect Zen”. I love reading all of the comments from those who watch my videos and noticed lately that there were a lot of artists who were new to Zentangle. Since I use the TanglePatterns website so much, I wanted to show my old and new users all of the functions that are there. So this video was born, with Linda’s blessing. Many thanks to Linda for her website and all that she does!
