How to draw FRICLE

Julie Evans is a CZT® from the May 2011 class and Fricle is her first tangle on TanglePatterns. Julie offers Zentangle® classes in the Winston-Salem, North Carolina area.

She writes that she “took one class with Lois and Earl Stokes, CZTs on the Big Island of Hawai’i and knew Zentangle® was in her future.

She enjoys exploring how different pens react to a variety of papers and surfaces. A self-appointed ‘type nerd’, Julie has a BFA in Design from University of North Carolina at Greensboro and AAS in Advertising & Graphic Design from Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC). She taught Advertising & Graphic Design at GTCC for 13 years and is now a full-time freelance graphic designer, custom lettering artist and tangler!

She describes Zentangle® as a drawing meditation. It’s a powerful and effective tool for personal healing and empowerment.”
