Zenjellies is the latest tangle from novelist and tangler Jenna Black who recently shared her Trisnail with us.
Jenna writes,
I’m still on my tangle-designing kick, and I have a new one inspired by jellyfish.
There are many very beautiful jellyfish in our planet’s oceans and they come in some incredibly beautiful colors. From Wikipedia:
Jellyfish or jellies are softbodied, free-swimming aquatic animals with a gelatinous umbrella-shaped bell and trailing tentacles. The bell can pulsate to acquire propulsion and locomotion. The tentacles may be utilized to capture prey or defend against predators by emitting toxins in a painful sting.

About her Zenjellies, Jenna notes:
It’s pretty easy to draw, and I find the radiating lines very Zen.
You can make them any size, vary the shapes, and create all kinds of different embellishments.
I suspect there are even more possibilities when you start adding color to the mix, and I’m definitely looking forward to exploring those options.
Zenjellies is similar in concept to CZT Michele Beauchamp’s Popsicles. For my example of Zenjellies I combined a couple of Jenna’s suggestions and I totally concur with her about the radiating lines.

Zenjellies, a great looking pattern, I will try it tomorrow!
Have fun with it!
Not sure I wanted to do this one as reminded me of how bad jellies can sting when you get into a bunch of them as I once did many years ago in Japan on a beach. That aside, the tangle is fun and I will use it I’m sure even if it reminds me of a not so fun day at the beach.
Let’s just assume this variety of jelly is non-venomous. LOL (I much prefer my jellyfish in aquariums or on film! At the beach … not so much.)

I really like this. The variations are really pretty with the tiny dots on the lines and the occasional bolder lines and of course the finishing on the edges.Very nice. I enjoyed drawing this. This may well be the pattern that nudges me to pick up my pens again. I love the randomness & movement. It’s been about 2 years since I’ve drawn much of anything.
Just like many others mentioned in the thread about getting started again, my spouse & I both agree that I stopped after joining a couple of tangling groups on fb & felt totally inadequate.
This page is not one of them, though. Thank you for all the work you do keeping up with & bringing us new ones to try.
I’m catching up here finally! I really like this tangle pattern. Not too busy. Looks like it will be relaxing to draw out.
I too get a little burned out now and then with all the new patterns that keep coming up. I can’t do them all, so now I’m just downloading the ones I really love, like this one. 😀 What’s nice about this though, is that everyone has differences in the ones they like and the ones that are just too much for them. There are some tangles that other people love that I just can’t get. And other ones that I absolutely love using that others have a hard time with. We’re all different, and yet the same.
