Here we are at the last weekend of August already!
In Florida we’re watching a weather system that’s been confusing prognosticators all week, but as of this morning it seems to be less of a major threat and more of a wet and windy weekend. Given that we’ve had about the hottest and driest summer I can recall in the 32 years Robert and I have lived here, we can certainly use a little rain. And we’re very grateful it’s not something more than that as we head into the peak of our annual hurricane season.
Trangle is a new tangle (Trangle tangle) from CZT Jody Genovese from Clifton Park, NY and it’s her first on the site.
As Jody writes, Trangle “is very easy to draw and easy to do variations on as well“.
I just attended CZT 24 in June. I found Zentangle® 2 years ago and have become like so many completely hooked.
Trangle came about while working in my journal one evening.
I was practicing some of the enhancers and the next thing I knew I was looking at this sort of galactic triangle pattern.
Jody illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Trangle below and she shows it with some variations in a Zentangle® tile with fills of auras, orbs and a Tripoli-like version along with little bursts of mini-Ahh.

Oh boy! More fun. I like this tangle. It will fit in all kinds of spaces and there are so many variation possibilities. Thank you for sharing this one.
Neat tangle! I like how it “plays” with other tangles, and that it’s so easily layered.
Just as a weather note, according to those who closely observe weather history (as a career), July was the hottest July EVER on record since weather record-keeping began in 1800. It was the hottest July all over the entire world, not just in the USA; that’s saying a lot, because even here in Northern Lower Michigan, where we can usually rely on hot weather lasting only a few days before it tempers back, it was utterly miserable, and most of us couldn’t bear to be outside for more than a very brief time.
This one plays well with other tangles. Thanks for sharing.

And Linda……where we live here in Australia it is the same sort of climate as yours and we too have had the driest/hottest year in our memory as well. We haven’t had our usual Wet season so our dam is sitting at 20% and we are on severe water restrictions, only allowed to water with a hand held hose for 1 hour between 6 and 7 on one night a week !
I’ve been practicing my deliberate lines as some sort of stretch-out lately. The process tends to gently lead me into a calmer and more patient state of mind.TRANGLE serves that purpose perfectly, while at the same time it’s so pretty and interesting to the eye. Thanks Jody for coming up with it and thanks Linda for passing it on for all of us to enjoy !!

Jody, I love your Trangle tangle!! I can tell at first glance of a new pattern whether I want to practice, perfect and utilize it in my tangling. Trangle is one of those patterns that excite me. Thank you Jody and Linda for letting me feel excited and happy to have Zentangle in my life. I never, ever thought that “drawing” would be such an important and positive thing in my life. Looking through my tiles I am surprised every time that these came from my very own hand. Even my husband thinks they are beautiful.
If there is anyone out there reading this and think they cannot draw—YOU CAN. Everybody can draw a straight line, half circle, S shape, etc. This is Zentangle. I am ever so grateful I stumbled onto this art and somehow (I do not even know how) found Linda and Tanglepatterns.com!

Oooooohh… I like this one! My favorite tangles are the ones with a sort of “organic” growth pattern, and I believe this one qualifies. I’m getting off the computer and going to my drawing table now… 😀
