We already have a cool tangle from CZT Sandy Hunter named Veezley, now here comes Veezy by Australian tangler Margaret McKerihan. Margaret has two other tangles on the site, most recently the very popular Ta-da!
So pretty and easy to draw, Veezy is bound to become another favorite when you see how Margaret demonstrates some of the beautiful options possible. She writes,
Veezy is easy, being based around a simple V.
Veezy can be kept small and uniform with the same number of repeats of step 4, or it can be extended as far as you like by repeating steps 4 ad infinitum.
You can freeform Veezy (as in my first tile example), or you can draw a simple shape – circle, square, triangle, anything – and begin Veezy on the shape’s perimeter … on the corners or sides, anywhere.
Or you can build Veezy on Veezy, by adding Veezy to the perimeter of Veezy. Its options are limitless!
But it should always be very easy … Veezy even 😉
Veezy makes use of some Zentangle® orbs (or Tipple) for its effect and in one of my first attempts at drawing it I inadvertently put orbs in the “wrong” place, but as you can see here on the right it is interesting with that “mistake” although it limits “growing” Veezy outwards.
Margaret illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Veezy below and in four beautiful monotangles she demonstrates several of the ways to draw it that she describes above.
