How to draw FIGURI

Hi everyone!

It’s a long weekend, more time to tangle 🙂 Monday is a Federal holiday in honor of Washington’s Birthday aka Presidents’ Day thus many of us have a long weekend to relax and play. Though from what I see on TV I think it’s actually a holiday for us to buy furniture, but be that as it may …

Our Friday tangle Figuri is from Texas CZT Laura Dyson and it’s her first on the site.

I live in Fort Worth Texas. I am a retired Physical Therapist and Yoga Teacher.

Post pandemic I found Zentangle® and enjoyed the CZT38.

I find the simplicity and joy of Zentangle to be a great addition to everyone who seeks gratitude and enjoyment and I enjoy sharing it with others.

I am often challenged by free-form tangles and drawing behind and Figuri was no different. Give me orderly repetitive strokes any time to get out of my head and into a Zentangle state of mind. But I’m confident there are many of you who thrive with this kind of challenge! 🙂

Laura illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Figuri below. In her Zentangle tile example, she combines Figuri with Gra-Vee by Laurel Sponseller and Scallops by Suzanne McNeill.
