So, this is it for our 2023 gatherings. We’ve had so many fun and creative new tangles to play with, can’t wait to see what’s in store for us in 2024!
The honor of the last tangle of the year goes to British CZT Chrissie Frampton and her Windsor tangle. Just wait till you see how many ways this one can go …
Chrissie gives us a little background on her tangle and explains the inspiration for its name:
This tangle was inspired by one of the backgrounds to the Book of Condolence for the Queen.
Queen Elizabeth II was born on 21 April 1926 in London. She died on 8th September 2022 at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle, Scotland. Queen Elizabeth was monarch of United Kingdom, Great Britain and Northern Ireland from 6th February 1952 until 8 September 2022. In 2015 she surpassed Queen Victoria to become the longest-reigning monarch in British history.
The Queen spent a lot of her time at Windsor Castle and is now at her final resting place in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle with her husband Prince Philip.
For my example of Windsor I used the lower right Black Bijou in Chrissie’s sample tiles and to me it looks so different from her original and the inspiration photo that she might not recognize it!
Chrissie illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Windsor below and she’s included a whole host of great ways to explore this tangle.
As you enjoy any of the tangles on the site, please leave a comment of thanks and encouragement to show the artists you appreciate them for sharing their creativity to inspire yours. Your thanks helps motivate them to continue to share! And please share a link to your favorite tangles on social media. Thanks!

May happiness be yours this holiday season
See you back here again in 2024!

Amazing! So Beautiful! Thank you for sharing .
Hi, thanks for having so much content on your website. I just started tangling two months ago and I am totally hooked.
While going thru your site the other night, I found a great tip for travel- use an eye glasses case to take your pens and pencils on a trip. Well, this is GREAT! This reduces the space in my carry-on.
Thanks for being there,
Curry Wolfe
