How to draw FLEUR

Welcome my tangling friends, lovely to see you again 🙂

We begin our week of tangling creativity with Fleur, a sweet and versatile continuous line tangle from Taiwan CZT Mina Hsiao.

Fleur is Mina’s 20th tangle on the site and among her fun contributions to our resource is her famous Dicso, a tangle that so elegantly and succinctly reminds us of the five elemental strokes of Zentangle® which you can read more about on Dicso‘s page. And it’s also another continuous line tangle.

Mina writes,

My new tangle is Fleur (French). This pattern looks like a flower.

My inspiration also comes from Eke.

Step 1 to step 3 is a continuous stroke.

Fleur is one of those almost infinitely variable tangles, so many fun ways to decorate it … or leave it just as it is.

Mina illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Fleur below and she demonstrates a bunch of ways to embellish it for variety.
