How to draw NINA

Greetings y’all!

Didn’t want us to miss out on a tangle this week so with the addition of yesterday’s Project Pack #22 Summary, this one was delayed by a day.

Today’s Nina tangle is another deconstruction from Maryland CZT Barbara Duel Johnson and it’s her 15th on the site. Be sure to check them out!

Barbara writes,

This one is “Nina”, named after a friend.

“Nina” is pretty versatile. It can be used as a fragment, on a grid, as a border or banner, as a frame, and as a tangle.

It can also be used as a background for different tangles.

I wanted a fragment with a scroll, to see how the scrolls would react when the fragment was flipped around.

It’s a coincidence that we’re exploring a spiral type of tangle today right after finishing Zentangle®’s great Project Pack #22 honoring the spiral. Nina is another fun addition to our family of spiral + grid tangles.

Barbara illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Nina below and she shows how it can be used as a ribbon or as a frame for your tile.
