How to draw SPA

Hello friends!

I hope you had a lovely Easter weekend and are looking forward to some great new tangles to add to your repertoire.

Today’s easy and fun grid-based tangle, Spa, is from Spanish CZT Aido Rico. Spa is her sixth tangle on the site, most recently we explored her Qurtuba.

Aida writes,

Spa was inspired by the flowerpot in a photo. I saw the photo on IG, and it had a message under it: How lovely my Spathiphilum is!!!!

I also have a Zentangle group that meet weekly and it is called the SPA, so I thought it would be nice to draw it there for the first time and name it Spa, for the group and for the plant.

You might also know the Spathiphyllum plant as a Peace Lily.

For my tangle example of Spa, I used one of Aida’s Bijou tile versions below, its boldness and drama appealed to me. Sort of a stylized interpretation of the Fleur de Lys …
