Voice-Guided Zentangle® – Lesson 2 with CZT Molly Hollibaugh

CZT Molly Hollibaugh of Zentangle HQ (and co-founder Maria Thomas’s daughter) has recently begun a new video series of tangling lessons with a different approach.

Molly introduces the series this way:

Many years ago I thought it would be fun to explore teaching Zentangle using only my voice.

I thought, how cool it would be to remove the visual reference and instead challenge the student to rely totally on their own beautiful interpretation of my instructions.

There is no right way to do this or any specific expectation of what will come of your tile.

This takes some trust in your pen strokes but if you just allow yourself to believe that no matter where it goes … it will be beautiful in its own way.

Sit back, listen, tangle … and enjoy.

There are no images in this video. This second lesson’s video runs about 24 minutes. As I’ve suggested previously you might like to make a cup of tea or coffee, maybe put some nice music on in the background and enjoy the time out.

Simply assemble your Zentangle tile, pencil and black Micron pen (or whatever paper and pen you have on hand), start the video and be guided by Molly’s voice and trust yourself and her instructions.

As Molly says, “This takes some trust in your pen strokes but if you just allow yourself to believe that no matter where it goes … it will be beautiful in its own way.”

For future reference you can find this series on the TUTORIALS and VIDEOS tabs on the pink alphabetic tangle menu bar.

In addition, you can quickly find all of the Voice-Guided Tangle Lessons by going to the TANGLES BY TYPE dropdown menu in the left sidebar and selecting voiceguidedtangling.
