It appears I’m into circles this week — or orbs as we call them in Zentanglish.
First we had Joan Stark’s unusual near-orbs experience with Pernula, and today completely whole Snircles from Texas CZT Sandy Hunter.
Sandy writes, Snircles are “Named so, because they are drawn in a snircular shape. Obviously.”
You might be surprised to see that Snircles is an amazingly versatile tangle.
“As you can see, the direction they face can make a big difference in the way your full pattern looks.”
Sandy demonstrates them inward-facing, side-facing, facing random directions, with fill patterns, with and without tails, along a string, as well as strung, in border/ribbon fashion, as a fancy border (which I used for my example), AND as an overall tangle. Whew!
Sandy illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Snircles here on her blog together with several tips for “successful snircling“. And as always, with her signature sense of humor for a fun tangle experience. As I said, Sandy shows ya lots of ways to explore them. I guarantee you’ll enjoy this!
As you enjoy any of the tangles on the site, please leave a comment of thanks and encouragement to show the artists you appreciate them for sharing their creativity to inspire yours.

In case you missed it ...
Zentangle is "not just the latest buzzword for ‘that thing I was already doing years ago in the margins of notebooks’."
So if that's what you've been thinking, you don't know Zentangle yet.

Now this pattern is just outright, downright FUN!! I just now drew it as a circular border around my version of Helen Williams’ “Auraknot Bunzo Flower,” and the two designs work amazingly well together–and it was such fun to put the funny little “snircles” all around my original drawing.
Thank you, Sandy, for such a fun tangle 😀
This is a lovely pattern with many variations to play with, thank you very much.
I am really enjoying Snircles. It’s a great tango with Lollywimple. Thanks again.
Liking this one. So many ways to have fun with it. Try it on my next play session.
What fun…a tangle with a sense of humor! Will definitely enjoy using this one, thanks, Sandy.
Sandy, there is something about your tangles and sense of humor that I really like. Thanks so much for sharing.
