How to draw BALLBY

Happy Monday y’all and we start out our Zentangle® week with Ballby, an easy tangle that’s perfect for practicing your orbs and auras.

A simple combination, or tango, of the Zentangle-originals Eke and Jetties, Ballby comes to us from Taiwan CZT Damy Teng.

Ballby is Damy’s 23rd tangle on the site. In addition to her interesting and fun tangles Damy has also contributed several strings to our resource. One way to locate them all is by typing her name in the search box at the top right of any page.

As with many tangles, there’s often more than one way to accomplish the end result. With Ballby you could also start with the orbs in Step 3 and then add the “Eke-auras” of Step 1 around them. This is an easy way to “distribute” the tangle evenly within a section of your tile.

Damy illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Ballby below and demonstrates her ribbon-style tangle in a simple but effective monotangle with a touch of graphite to set them off.
