Loopy Blossom is such a pretty and elegant new tangle, it’s from German tangler Tina Kirchhübel and it’s her first on the site.
Tina observed a pattern in a book from her daughter’s friend and “It was so beautiful and elegant and I had to deconstruct it.”
Tina continues,
“I thought it will be difficult to draw but I tried different ways for the steps and created an easy step-by-step instruction for it.
Then I had to think about a name. This took quite a while and after trying different variations I finally decided on Loopy Blossom.
I found Zentangle® in Summer 2013 and was fascinated by this great art form. I drew my first tiles but then had other things to do and forgot Zentangle for some time.
In March 2015 my sister sent me a tangled bird and I remembered and totally fell in love with Zentangle. From this moment Zentangle is a part of my life that I don’t want to miss anymore.
That’s the story of how I came to Zentangle. “
Loopy Blossom is indeed simple to draw with such a lovely result. It took me a few tries to get the “loopy” bits in Step 3 spaced evenly. But if you make sure to turn your tile as you do each one, your hand will be in the same position each time and that helps make lining up the tops of the loops much simpler.
Tina illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Loopy Blossom here on her blog.
As you enjoy any of the tangles on the site, please do leave a comment of thanks and encouragement to show the artists you appreciate them for sharing their creativity to inspire yours.

I love drawing loops like that – they feature in the first tangle I designed, Snag – so this will work really well with that. Looking forward to playing with Tina’s tangle!
Wow I’m so happy. My first tangle on tanglepatterns.com – this is such a great honor for me. Thank you Linda for choosing my tangle and for all what you do on your site for the Zentangle community.
