How to draw ROEL

Today’s fun tangle, Roel by Judy Murphy, is one of those patterns I’ve tagged “ribbon” tangles as they can be woven through your Zentangle® and are beautiful and useful in so many ways. You may remember Judy recently shared the popular Double D’s tangle with us.

Roel, pronounced “Row-L” says Judy, is an incredibly versatile tangle pattern. I combined a couple of Judy’s variations in my example.

Judy illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Roel here and explores a wide variety of ways to embellish her tangle, or “modified many ways” as she notes. You’ll enjoy playing with this one!
