How to draw NINJA STARS

The Ninja Stars tangle pattern was deconstructed by Canadian CZT® Margaret Bremner.

She explains,

“If I remember correctly, this idea came to me when I was half asleep one morning. I’m really happy I remembered it!

Once I drew it, it resembled those frisbee knife things ninjas throw.“

The pattern begins with a grid and then you draw little “mouse silhouettes” along the edges of each grid square.

For variations Margaret suggests,

“The black areas could fill with thin stripes for a less bold pattern. An aura could go inside the ‘squares’.“

She shows the pattern also works with triangle shapes instead of squares. Either way Ninja Stars makes a great ribbon/border pattern too.
