Not all of the Zentangle® tangles created by originators Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas are posted online. However, every one of what I’m calling “official” tangle patterns that does have online step-by-step drawing instructions is posted here on TanglePatterns.
Here’s another big time-saver for you.
Today I added a new page under the Zentangle tab on the top menu bar – Linda’s List of Official Tangle Patterns – containing the complete list as I know it. It’s my compilation of all the official tangle patterns for your personal reference.
The page contains links to the patterns that do have online drawing instructions. I invite our CZTs to contribute with any errors, omissions or clarifications they might offer.
I hope this newest resource on TanglePatterns is helpful for those of us interested in (obsessed by?) “all things Zentangle”.
PS – Patterns in the sampler starting in the top left: Bales, Keeko, Opus, Meer, Dex, Shattuck, Drupe, Eye-Wa, Hibred, ‘Nzeppel, Squid, Pokeroot, Pokeleaf, Verdigogh, Paradox, Cadent, Onomato, Eke, Jetties, Cyme. Were you able to name them all?

Awesome – another thing that would be really nice, is for tangles that do not have instructions, a link to a sample where is is used. There are so many that I don’t have a clue what they look like.
Thanks so much for doing this.
Thank you for putting this together Linda. It certainly is helpful and much appreciated! 🙂
This is a fantastic tool for us to use! Thank you so much Linda. I for one, greatly appreciate all your hard work and effort in putting it together.
Fantastic! I’ll have to check this against my list and see if I’ve missed any.
Thank you!
Woo! You’re awesome!
Mahalo, what a nice birthday present. I’m a new tangler and now I can see what I missed.
Thanks, Linda for the list of Tangle Patterns and the information on them. I already see names of some patterns I’ve never heard of, but there’s no link to them.
Just what I have always wanted … an list of official patterns. Quick question, is there an official pattern called Linked?
Thanks again Linda.
I originally posted it as an official pattern but it appears that was a mistake, which I’ve since fixed.
I just stumbled onto the patterns, WOW the hours of work you have done to put this all together. I thank you for your organizational skills. I needed that and that is the one thing I could not put my finger on. With time slipping by before the Feb. workshop I wanted some order in all this.
Thank you. The gift you have given us all. Thank you!
Okie-dokie…Now I have something more to muse. Ready, set & here we go. You have completed your, ARTWORK, Zentangfulishy, What length’s or parameters, forever, will it go from here? I think we will, THINK and ponder. Bring it on…
