  • When I was tangling my name, as Zentangle-inspired art, I was looking through the tangles whose names start with “I” and couldn’t at that moment get inspired by them. I’d used several of them in other recent projects and wanted something new. So I decided just for this one project I would pretend that “I” was a “Y” and see if I could find a good design there. Not only did I find this beautiful tangle, Yang, it was uploaded on my birthday!! That settled it — I had to use Yang. 🙂 Please click my name (above) to see my finished artwork.

  • This is a wonderful tangle, Genevieve!! I love the variations you suggested & felt inclined to try some of my own. Even using a slightly unsquare grid (since it’s hand-drawn), the look is pleasing & organic. Also I love the contrast created by black & white only – no shading. Thank you for sharing your creation!
