TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE, 2018 Edition is here!

TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE - 2018 EditionI am delighted to announce the 2018 Edition of my TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE is now available for instant download in the Store!

(And my sincere apologies and thanks for your patience to the email correspondents who are still waiting to hear from me … it’s been intense around here for a couple of weeks.)

This SEVENTH Edition of the Guide is revised and updated and integrates all of the tangles on the site from May 2010 through December 31st, 2017.

The BOOK REVIEWS page for this year’s Guide has also been updated with more information and a sample page so if you want to know more about it, check out the details there.

Continuing her TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE tradition CZT Michele Beauchamp has added her beautiful Zentangle®-inspired art to the cover. In her ZIA Michele features many of the tangles that appeared on the site during the past year. As a special bonus, a second page of Michele’s delicate artistry introduces the tangles.

This year’s TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE has grown to a 60-page (25 MB) PDF resource with each of the tangle images hot-linked to their post on this site.

This year’s edition again contains a reprint of CZT Sandy Hunter‘s excellent article, A post with no pictures. Perfect to have this handy as a reference for you when you need it and Sandy has graciously given me permission to include her article “in perpetuity” 🙂

Several extra features and articles make the TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE an indispensable aid to using the site.

To get your copy of the 2018 Guide and support the continuing existence of the site, click the cover image above or go to the top menu bar on any page on the site and select the STORE > EBOOKS page.

Do take time to read the important information at the top of that page before you purchase the Guide and note that there are several eBooks on that page so TAKE YOUR TIME AND CHOOSE YOUR PURCHASE CAREFULLY!

The entire download process is automated — when your transaction is successfully completed your browser will be redirected to another page containing your personalized secure download link. To avoid file corruption, you must SAVE the document to your device before you attempt to open it. Once it has downloaded completely to your device you can then open the document and print it.

If your browser fails to open another page, your secure download link is also sent to the email address you used in PayPal. If you use the email address of a “significant other”, remember to let them know you are expecting a confirming email so they don’t delete it by mistake.

You don’t have to open an account to use PayPal: when you check out you will be given the choice of paying with a PayPal account OR with a debit or credit card. If you choose to pay with an e-check, when your check clears in 3-5 days your download link will be sent to the email address you used in PayPal.

How to order by mailNote: If you prefer to make your purchase by mail, you can send a check or money order (US$ money order if you are from outside the USA) with your email address PRINTED CLEARLY to:

Linda Farmer, TanglePatterns.com, PO Box 880386, Port St Lucie FL 34988. When your payment is received I will email you an eBook download link.

A word about the alphabetic sorting of the tangles for those who are bound to ask. In prior editions to simplify the sorting task I used Microsoft Word and its criteria for alphabetical sorting – and it is undeniably quirky. This year I’ve reorganized the list to correspond (mostly) with the sequence the tangles are displayed on the site, which also has it’s own quirks.

Thanks for supporting the site with your purchase! Creating my TANGLE GUIDE is a labor of love for me and it was such a pleasure reviewing all the great new tangles added in the last year, as well as revisiting the “oldies”. I hope you enjoy using this handy resource and will encourage your tangling friends to get their own copy.

Help spread the word!

If you have a blog or website I’d love it if you’d help spread the word in a post and/or add a “badge” for my new Guide on your blog – see the bottom of the RIGHT sidebar for the code. Sharing the news on your social media would also be greatly appreciated. A million thanks!

And as always, your feedback, comments and suggestions are always most welcome.

Cheers and happy tangling!

Keep your file in a safe place

Keep a backup copy in a safe place like a memory stick. Due to the frequency of requests to replace lost files and the personal time involved in handling these requests, lost files are not replaced free. Replacements for lost files can be ordered and downloaded from the STORE > EBOOKS page.

If you have a copy of my TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE, you know there’s a section with some fun ways to use the guide.

Here’s another great idea I just received in an email from Karen L. in Australia:

“I have found a way to use last year’s book. I’ve cut out the tangles that I know or want to know and have stuck them on out of date business cards. They are now in a box for me to select random tangles but from the restricted group that I know – over 200 but much fewer than the 1200+ in your library.”

Recycled business cards are a perfect fit and a compact way to file your favorite tangles. Having a file of tangles you’re familiar with is really handy to have around for jump-starters.

    And it’s another low-tech randomizer. 🙂

    Thanks for sharing, Karen!

Thank you for the 2018 book and for all of your hard work on this site. I use the book and site and I’m happy to support the effort. Thanks also for the tip about what to do with the old book!
