In this 12-minute video CZT® Suzanne McNeill demonstrates how to use a plastic lid (or any traceable circular object) as an aid in drawing a symmetrical 6-petal flower shape for a mandala, as featured in the new Zentangle 7 book.
She tangles the mandala and a little over 8 minutes into the video she shows how to draw her tangle Snood from the new Zentangle 8 book. I show a variation in my example here.

"Absolutely the best Zentangle Book yet! As an accomplished artist I used to think I did not need instruction on this art form. How wrong I was! My tangling improved by leaps and bounds after reading this book. If you think you have Zentangle down then you need this book more than ever!" ~ Kris H | |

Thank you so much for that wonderful VIDEO! I am definitely a visual learner!
I am the worst artist but will try hard to tangle!
Laurie
Thanks for the video, very well done and very informative. Unfortunately I would also need the written instructions, which means, I suppose, that I have to buy the book!!!??? -:)
It’s been years since this video was posted but it’s just as helpful and engaging in 2020 as it was in 2012! I’ve watched and followed along several times in the past couple of years but doing it recently with actual Zentangle tiles and tools was fantastic! Very easy to understand with lots of great examples 🙂
