How to draw LLILLY

Zentangle pattern: LlillyAustralia’s Ksenija Vojisavljevic has a way of coming up with tangle patterns that are so versatile, and Llilly is another fine example.

Ksenija writes, “The initial idea came from the image of a wall paper that had rows of adjacent large circles. I was thinking what could be added to it. I remembered the wonderful effect that the ‘S’ line has in the pattern Cadent. With a little twist on the sizes of circles and the direction of the ‘S’ line this new pattern came about.”

Cadent, an official tangle from Zentangle®, is also an amazingly versatile pattern with potential tangleations galore.

Here are Ksenija’s steps for drawing Llilly, along with some suggested ways to vary the tangle using different fills.
