How to draw PLAITED

Zentangle pattern: PlaitedThis tangle pattern comes to us from Chicago-area CZT® Sue Jacobs. Plaited was inspired by a design on a journal Sue received as a Christmas gift and she set out to break down the steps to the pattern.

I found Plaited challenging to draw just using Sue’s illustration. Be sure to read her written instructions because she clearly explains how to draw the columns of curved triangles, to vary the number of triangles in each, as well as alternating their up and down orientation. Shading really adds dimension to this tangle.

Sue illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Plaited, here.

Check out the tag suej for more of Sue’s patterns on TanglePatterns.com.
