Happy New Year! I am so delighted to tell you that soon I will be emailing a FREE PDF of all the patterns on TanglePatterns to everyone who has financially supported the site by subscribing, donating, or purchasing an Official Kit from my TanglePatterns store.
I’ve been trying to think of a way to thank you for your response to my recent request for support. Once upon a time I was working on a book titled The Tangle Pattern Pocket Guide, but arrangements with the publisher fell through and somehow my gut wasn’t into pursuing it further. So this is what I’ve come up with. And it’s a green project!
I’m creating a PDF, the TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE, 2012 Edition containing all the patterns on the site. It’s a FREE e-book for everyone who has financially supported the site. When I’m ready to send it out in the next couple of weeks, I’ll notify you in an upcoming post so you can watch your inbox for it.

I discovered Zentangle a little over a year ago and I can honestly say that it has saved my life. Over the past 6 years I have been suffering from chronic hand and arm pain and severe depression and anxiety. I can get lost in my Zentangle. I stumbled upon the idea of Zantangles a few weeks ago and can’t believe what a positive change t has had on me! I am an art teacher (mostly elementary level, but also teach one high school class) and I am using Zentangles with my students as a way to teach so many of the art elements, but also as a way to encourage intrinsic creativity and a form of meditation. I can’t wait to get the PDF! My goal for this year is to organize a book of Zentangle patterns, created by the students in my school. The kids are eating up the idea and I’m so excited to see where this all goes. Thanks so much for sharing you ideas and creativity with us!

Linda, cannot wait to see the tangle guide. I too am an elementary school teacher and have started a zentangle club with the grade five and six students during lunch hours on tuesdays. Hi Linda. Thanks so very much for creating and running this site. I am disabled by several incurable medical conditions at a relatively young age and have found Zentangle to be a wonderful activity and distraction for me as I am unable to leave my home or be around people due to my medical conditions, one of which is a severe immune deficiency (remember the “boy in the bubble” movie with John Travolta? It’s kinda like that). I signed up and have been receiving emails from your site for several months now and never realized there was a Donate button until you put out the notice about the PDF. While I have no money due to being disabled and unable to work, I did donate $5.00 USD toward the site. I hope that is enough to qualify me for the PDF file you are putting together. It was all I could give. (Sorry about that.)
I have been having a hard time keeping up with all the new patterns that people are developing. I can’t seem to find a good way to organize them all, especially in a printed fashion, and your PDF will go a very long way in helping me with that. I very much love Zentangle, and I also very much need it. In fact, one of my specialist doctors has included Zentangle as part of my treatment plan while she herself has taken up the activity for her own enjoyment. It’s interesting to go to a dr appt and compare artwork.

I’m going to do up a review of your PDF. I’m already scheduled for a review on Monday, that I’m not sure I’ll make, but I’ll try to have it done sometime next week. I think most of my readers are probably already aware of the PDF, but I’ve been getting lots of new readers, so maybe I’ll catch a few that are unaware of it.

Hi Linda. I just started to tangle this past week. I went on a 7 night cruise and since I have cancer and could not do a lot of activities, I decided to try Zentangle. I came upon your site and made some copies of some designs and I tangled away! I did at least 1 every day, including my hand and foot. I am totally addicted to this new art form. I can’t wait to learn more! I will try to make a donation. I would love to have the PDF to take on my next trip!

HI Sue, I can’t locate a PayPal record corresponding to your email address. If you used another name and email address to purchase your Kit, please email me with the details so we can track this down. Often people use an email address with PayPal that they never check and that’s the address I send the PDF to, unless I’m otherwise instructed with the order. Thanks!
