How to draw TRIANGLES

Zentangle pattern: TrianglesTriangles is a tangle pattern from Suzanne McNeill’s book, Zentangle 2. Now, lest you think this is a pretty obvious pattern, it has lots of options for variation and Suzanne illustrates several at the link below.

I changed the basic pattern by making all the triangles solid black but you can also fill them with other shapes or lines or just fill in the corners. They’re also an effective filler simply with their own basic line shape. I tried another variation where I did the reverse of the image you see here, in other words filling in the background between the triangles and leaving the triangles “empty” – that looks pretty cool too and it was fun filling in the little “rivers” between the shapes.

(Note for those who notice such details: in Zentangle 2, Suzanne calls this pattern Triangles and at the above link Triangle, without the “s” – I went with her book version.)
