Greetings tangle fans!
We have an easy grid-based tangle to explore today and as you’ll see in a moment it’s quite versatile in that the basic concept can be used with a variety of shapes, not only grid squares.
Shakti is from Indian CZT Priya Sabhlok and it’s her fifth tangle on the site, most recently we explored her Ikshana tangle.
Priya writes,
My new tangle is named a Sanskrit word “Shakti” which means Power.
I feel extremely powerful whenever I’m tangling and that is how I was inspired to name it as Shakti.
While deconstructing this tangle I was not able to stop myself from trying out numerous variations and I’m sure whosoever tries it out will find it super interesting to variate it in their own creative ways.

Shakti, one of the most important goddesses in the Hindu pantheon, is really a divine cosmic energy that represents feminine energy and the dynamic forces that move through the universe. Shakti, who is responsible for creation and can also be an agent of change, is often manifested to destroy demonic forces and restore balance.
As a vital cosmic force, Shakti takes many forms and names, including mother goddess, fierce warrior, and the dark goddess of destruction. In Hinduism, every god has a Shakti, or energy force. It’s one of the reasons she is worshipped by millions of people throughout India.

Priya illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Shakti below where she includes many variations to explore and two ZIAs and a Zendala featuring her tangle. Interesting how Priya used shading to link together the six Bijou tiles in a hexagon arrangement.
