How to draw JAYBARZ

Hello and Happy Spring my tangling friends. A breath of warmth and rays of sunshine to you.

For all our friends down under Autumn has just begun, another lovely season with all its own special pleasures!

Today’s nice easy Deco-looking Jaybarz is from Colorado CZT Sue Clark and it’s her seventh tangle on the site.

I always enjoy going back and browsing through each person’s tangles when I add another and discovered I wrote this about “the Zen of Zentangle” with Sue’s first tangle on the site, Cheers:

What I really love about Cheers is that despite its apparent complexity it sticks to the Zentangle® philosophy of just 2 or 3 simple lines repeated continuously.

More complex patterns require thinking about how to build them and not readily allowing one to get into the “unthinking” rhythm of a Zentangle experience.

Simple tangles are the Zen of Zentangle.

A good reminder about heart of the Zentangle Method™  — no planning, no thinking, just mindful repeated strokes.

As Sue notes with her tangle, Jaybarz can be tangled symmetrically or randomly and the length and size of the J strokes can be varied for more explorations.
