How to draw HENNA M

Henna M is a sweet Friday tangle for you to play with this weekend and it’s another one from Taiwan CZT Damy Teng. This is her 33rd tangle on the site!

Damy writes,

“The basic elements of this pattern are taken from Henna Drum petals.

The petals are arranged like scales.“

Henna Drum is an oldie-but-goodie from CZT Jane MacKugler. “Jane constructed this tangle based on a henna design a friend of hers had drawn on a drum, hence Henna Drum.”

Damy has used it for her inspiration and changed it from a ribbon-style tangle to this fun arrangement.

{For some reason I couldn’t stop thinking about cats — which, sadly, I’m incredibly allergic to — while I was tangling it. Mystifying!}

There are SO many ways you can embellish this tangle and I used one from Damy’s tile for my example.
