Recently reader Heather Marley asked if I could get the steps to this tangle posted on TanglePatterns. Heather had seen Mimi’s tangle here in the video filmed by Suzanne McNeill at the 2010 Zentangle Master Class in Newport, RI. Mimi graciously responded with the steps to her tangle and a little background.

I am a CZT® from Rick and Maria’s first Zentangle® certification class in February 2009. I live in Northampton, Massachusetts where I teach Zentangle® classes and occasionally develop my own tangle patterns.

The Cat-Kin tangle contains snippets of two other tangles, Rain and Crescent Moon.

This is Mimi’s first pattern on TanglePatterns and here are her step-by-step instructions for drawing the delicate tangle, Cat-Kin. (Instructions go down the left column and back up the right.)
