How to draw COMPANION

Companion is a great tangle for these “companionable” times. One of the definitions of companion is “one of a pair of things intended to complement or match each other“, and Canada and the USA are indeed great companions. Not only that, both are currently reveling in national holidays.

Canada celebrated her 150th Canada Day on July 1st and tomorrow, July 4th, we celebrate the USA’s 241st Independence Day. Many people have taken this as a long holiday weekend, while I’m guessing the majority of us are working hard earning our daily bread today but will relish the day off tomorrow and observe this great Summer holiday. Fireworks, picnics, barbeques, pool parties, family and friends … party on …

Companion is a lovely, delicate tangle from Taiwan CZT Carrie Liao and it’s her first on the site. Carrie is a member of the 17th CZT seminar and she’s located in Taoyuan, in the northwest part of Taiwan.

Carrie illustrates the easy step-by-step instructions for drawing Companion below and she demonstrates it in a beautiful minimalist monotangle.
