Swiss CZT Hanny Waldburger’s Tamisolo is “a variation of my pattern Tami, that can be grown in all directions… I call it ‘Tamisolo’, cause it looks like kind of half a Tami.”
“Unlike Tami, I start the spiral from the outside toward the center.
Once inside, I change the direction and ‘spiral’ me back to the outside.
Once there, I now add the tip and close the shape down to about the same level as I began it.
From this first form I can now grow it in all directions.”
Tamisolo does indeed grow in all directions to fill a section of your Zentangle® tile. I have to admit for my first (many) attempts at Tamisolo, I found it a little challenging. But once I got the hang of it and visualized the position and overall “leaf” shape each motif would fill, it became easier to control the outcome. I have a ways to go to match Hanny’s fluency with her tangle.

Such a fun tangle to draw! I drew it today coupled with “Molygon”–which came out looking more like a bunch of bananas arranged in a circle, lol–and the two of them complement each other very well. This is going to be one of my “go to” patterns for many of my drawings 🙂
