How to draw TAMISOLO

“Unlike Tami, I start the spiral from the outside toward the center.

Once inside, I change the direction and ‘spiral’ me back to the outside.

Once there, I now add the tip and close the shape down to about the same level as I began it.

From this first form I can now grow it in all directions.”

Tamisolo does indeed grow in all directions to fill a section of your Zentangle® tile. I have to admit for my first (many) attempts at Tamisolo, I found it a little challenging. But once I got the hang of it and visualized the position and overall “leaf” shape each motif would fill, it became easier to control the outcome. I have a ways to go to match Hanny’s fluency with her tangle.

Hanny illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Tamisolo here on her blog and she shows many beautiful examples of how her lively tangle can turn out.
