Helix is an easy tangle from CZT Suzanne McNeill’s Zentangle 6 (Zentangle-inspired Stencils and Cards) booklet. Suzanne has a whole series of booklets exploring various types of Zentangle-inspired crafts.
Not only is Helix a very simple tangle to use in a Zentangle® tile but it could also be adapted imaginatively with color for festive holiday cards and paper crafts.
Suzanne illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Helix on her blog (link removed) and shows several ways to vary this tangle.
UPDATE: Early in the Summer of 2014 Suzanne McNeill’s blog domain registration expired and all the posts and images were lost. Many of her patterns on TanglePatterns can quite easily be figured out.
