How to draw CAMUS

Hi there! It’s May flowers time!

Although we didn’t see a great many April showers in our neck of the woods, so fingers crossed …

Our Friday tangle is from Swiss CZT Annett Ruempler and Camus is her 19th tangle on the site.

Camus is a wonderful tangleation of the Zentangle®-originals Crescent Moon and Arukas. I was reminded of Camus when Arukas was part of our recent Project Pack lessons.

In Zentangle terminology a tangleation is described as,

“A variation of a tangle by itself or in combination with one or more tangles. Basic tangles are like paint out of a tube. Tangleations are the result of altering a tangle, or mixing one or more basic tangles together in different proportions.“

Now you might be wondering what you can do by mixing these two tangles together and here’s a glimpse of Annett’s tiles to give you some ideas, “borrowed” from Annett’s three examples, a regular Zentangle, a 3Z and a Bijou tile. You’ll notice that the spacing of the Crescent Moon “ladybugs” makes an impact on the weave produced. Lovely evenly-spaced auras make this tangle so impactful.
