Well our current winter-y weather certainly gives us good reasons to stay inside, nice and safe and toasty and maybe provides some extra tangling time to brighten up the days. It’s been a cool, wet week here in our neck of the woods too, so I can imagine how frosty it is anywhere north. Makes me want to hibernate!
Today’s sweet, woven-style Bella tangle is from Spanish CZT Carmen Muñiz Real and it’s her third on the site. Be sure to check out her Tuly and Indi tangles too.
Carmen introduces her new one,
It’s called “Bella,” just like the music album I was listening to while preparing a class.
Bella starts as a line tangle, but you can use it with movement by simply skipping step 1 in a straight line.
Bella is very versatile and you can add details in step 1, it can be decorated within the teardrop shape of the first step, fill in spaces … It can be decorated in a thousand ways to resemble different tangles, but they all originate from Bella.
Carmen gives us several examples (below) of ways to decorate Bella however for my example I went for the minimalist version. I used Sakura’s Micron 01 but when I finished I spotted my Micron PN nearby and decided to use it to restate the tear drop shapes. Just because. As I’m getting “more mature”, I’m finding myself liking the PN a lot, not only for the sturdy nylon nib but also because I can see it a lot better!
