How to draw PIZA

Zentangle pattern: Piza. Image © Linda Farmer and TanglePatterns.com. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. You may use this image for your personal non-commercial reference only. The unauthorized pinning, reproduction or distribution of this copyrighted work is illegal.Piza is another tangle pattern from Macedonia’s Elena Hadzijaneva. Her most recent tangles on the site are Tesali and Chordin and there are more so be sure to check out her tag: elenah. Tags are located in the left sidebar under the illuminating heading TANGLES BY ARTIST.

My example of Piza is actually a minimalist interpretation of Elena’s design which she presents as a pretty border pattern that leaves no doubt as to its inspiration. (If you have a moment, take a look at all the wonderful architectural photos by scrolling down that page, breathtaking!)

Here I’ve used Piza as an all-over pattern with “no right side up”. When I got this far in filling in the black bits I decided I liked it and stopped going any further. Occasionally I can be quite reckless like that 😉
