How to draw FANG

Zentangle pattern: FangThis simple border pattern was inspired by Celia Norman’s grandson who wanted a tangle called Fang.

Celia lives in Canada’s Rocky Mountains, “just outside Banff National Park in SW Alberta”. Banff is located about 100 miles or so west of Calgary.

According to the Park’s official website, “In the fall of 1883, three Canadian Pacific Railway construction workers stumbled across a cave containing hot springs on the eastern slopes of Alberta’s Rocky Mountains. From that humble beginning was born Banff National Park, Canada’s first national park and the world’s third. Spanning 6,641 square kilometres (2,564 square miles) of valleys, mountains, glaciers, forests, meadows and rivers, Banff National Park is one of the world’s premier destination spots.”

Fang is Celia’s first pattern on the site and she introduces herself:

I started tangling a year ago when a friend of mine became a CZT and held her first workshop. I was hooked right from the start. Not only do I spend many peaceful hours tangling but I was delighted when I found so many zentangle® related blogs on the internet.

Celia illustrates the steps for drawing Fang here on her new blog, and features it in a Zendala from CZT® Erin Olsen’s weekly Zendala Dare.
