How to draw CAYKE

Zentangle pattern: CaykeThe lovely Cayke tangle is Rose Brown’s second addition to our collection, her first being the attractive Rouche tangle pattern.

Swoopy swirls and loops are always fun to draw and Cayke offers a bunch of them. There several ways you can shade this and it really comes to life with the added dimension. Rose writes,

“This one was inspired by parades and cake decorations. It ended up incorporating something that looks like Sanibelle (one of my favorites) in a way and also is very reminiscent of wedding cakes for me. It’s great for a filler, it seems very festive and happy to me.”

Here are Rose’s step-by-step instructions for drawing Cayke and a completed Zentangle® featuring her pattern with a twist or two.

Enjoy!
