How to draw KINETIC

Zentangle pattern: Kinetic. Image © Linda Farmer and TanglePatterns.com. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. You may use this image for your personal non-commercial reference only. The unauthorized pinning, reproduction or distribution of this copyrighted work is illegal.Kinetic is a tangle pattern created by Ann Griffin. “I imagined electricity, or some other energetic force, firing up a grid system when I designed Kinetic”.

This is a flexible, fun pattern to draw especially when the caffeine kicks in and you “can’t draw a straight line”. It would also look great with circles, diamonds or triangles (did I leave anything out?) anchoring the grid system in place of the squares.

This is Ann’s first pattern on TanglePatterns.com and when asked if she’d like to share a little about herself with you she replied:

I live in Washington state, and I’m a stay at home wife, and also a mom to a wonderful thirteen-year-old young man with Cerebral Palsy. I also recently became a grandma again, so I’m also busy with craft and art projects for my baby grandson. I jump around from one art media to another as time and boredom dictate, but yarn and paper are my two favorite mediums. I hope to one day become a CZT, and until then I’m exploring as many tangle patterns as I can. I find infinite inspiration from the many talented and artistic “tanglers” out there who are kind enough to post their work and share their ideas – I hope they always keep the fun and beauty flowing!

I think we’ll all second that thought. Ann illustrates the steps for drawing her tangle pattern Kinetic below.

Thanks for the heads up, Lisa. Ann removed her blog and very kindly gave me permission to post her steps for Kinetic here.
