CZT Michelle Lim’s Puchong tangle looked very festive to me so I’ve been saving it for the season. Puchong is simply calling out to be used on Christmas cards and in ZIAs with a touch of color.
Michelle has attended the Certified Zentangle® Teacher training seminars twice, once in CZT 14 and then again in CZT 18. She is from Puchong, Malaysia, and this is her first tangle on the site. To date there are 13 CZTs in Malaysia although not all are actively teaching.
Michelle honors the town she’s from by naming her tangle after it and writes,
This tangle is very easy to draw. It looks free and breezy. It is soft but not fragile. It is friendly. Just like the community in the township I stay.
Starts with a stroke, it can go any directions. Then draw an oval shape at the tip of stroke, followed with triangles and create loops.
Michelle illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Puchong here and shows it with a couple of free and breezy variations.
Check out the tag michellel for more of Michelle’s tangles on TanglePatterns.com.

Lovely! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Suzanne for loving it.
Oh! Oh! Oh! Lovely, lovely, brilliant. Memorized the steps instantly. Free and breezy; soft but not fragile. Friendly, like home. What a beautifully poetic way to describe your tangle. Punchong, what a nice name.
Thanks Tracy. Your kind words made my day.
