Fandance is a pretty tangle from Wisconsin CZT Diane Knauff and it’s her first on the site.
Diane posted Fandance on her blog in the Fall a couple of years ago and said that it’s her favorite time of year. Here in the northern hemisphere it’s our Fall Equinox on Wednesday, the official beginning of Fall. For all our friends south of the equator Wednesday is their Spring Equinox and the beginning of Spring. Welcome to the change of seasons!
Diane is a CZT from the 6th certification seminar and she writes,
“I am a self-taught multi media artist living in Madison, Wisconsin. What began as a desire to document my children’s early years in scrapbooks quickly became an obsession with exploring various art mediums.
… I love to share all that the Zentangle art form has to offer both creatively and for personal well being.“
Diane illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Fandance here on her blog. She also shows a variation using the rounding tangle enhancer that produces white “fans” on a black background. She also shows that by placing ribbons of them back to back, you can create a lovely all-over (aka “filler”) tangle.
Update September 2019: Diane’s blog is having technical issues and the link isn’t working, so until the issue is sorted out here are her instructions from October 2012.
Check out the tag dianek for more of Diane’s tangles on TanglePatterns.com.
