How to draw POR FIN

The unique and unusual Por Fin tangle makes for a great change of pace. It’s from Neenah, Wisconsin, CZT Cathy Staeven and (at last) it’s her first tangle on the site.

Por Fin resulted from a pattern Cathy developed while talking on the phone. “When the phone call ended and I looked at the pattern, I thought there might be something there that I could work into a tangle. So I played with it off and on for a few weeks and finally polished it to this.”

Cathy was one of my CZT#7 classmates and she writes, “I call it Por Fin (which is Spanish for ‘at last’) because it has taken so long to accomplish this goal which began after the Zentangle certification seminar in October of 2011.”

Por Fin makes a great border-type of tangle and Cathy also shows it in a circular or Zendala format. Cathy illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Por Fin here on her blog together with quite a few suggestions for varying her tangle. This one will grow on you!
