In this 13-minute video, publisher and CZT® Suzanne McNeill demonstrates how to add beads and tangled cardstock flowers to add a Zentangle flair to purchased tree ornaments.
These Zentangle-embellished ornaments make wonderful keepsakes for yourself or to give as treasured handmade gifts.
Suzanne features her Zentangle 3 book in the video.
Suzanne’s project was inspired by Susan Meeks of Bellaire TX who makes hundreds of these ornaments a year. You can see Susan’s handcrafted inspirations featuring glitter, crystals, hand beading and poinsettias in her etsy shop at OrnamentsBySusan.

Wish I had that kind of time to make ornaments! They’re exquisite.
Wonderful–and I own all those Outlines Rubber Stamps too–you have inspired me! Thank you! 🙂
Outlines Rubber Stamps is no longer in business. I have been searching for those kind of stamps. Does anyone know another website that carries stamps with just outlines? I’m looking for animals, fish, etc that fit zentangle tiles. Can anybody help? Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays fellow tanglers.
Well done Suzanne. Very clever. They really dress up a plain ornament.
Did you know that Outlines Rubber Stamps went out of business, so those stamps are not available anymore.
Lynne
What brand of long reaching punch did you use to cut the center holes?
and where can it be purchased?
Yup, just tried searching for the Outlines rubber stamps. I have been searching for stamps with large areas to tangle. No such luck. Heading over to Ebay. Keep your fingers crossed.
Hmm… Not sure if ebay quite understood what I was looking for.

Ok, some of the ebay sellers had stamps from this company: http://www.expressionsinink.com/catalog/RUBBER_STAMPS-1-1.html
Their outline stamps are mainly basic geometric shapes, but they have things like the suits of cards that could be cute.
Suzanne, your finished ornaments look very shiny. What did you coat the paper with?
Thanks.
Susan,
Love those Christmas balls, I will give them a try after the holidays when I have more time.
Thank you for all your wonderful ideas & how to’s.
Linda
