Hi, I’m Linda Farmer and I run this site. I wanted to give a little background on why I’ve added this page to TanglePatterns …
A few months ago the following comment was made on my 1st anniversary post:
“Linda – As I read all the expressions of gratitude being sent your way, on this your first ‘birthday’, I feel compelled to go out on a limb here and make the following suggestion.
I realize that you started this venture because of your own passion for Zentangle, and that that is what still drives you. However, with all that you do to provide such inspiration and joy to the rest of us, I would like to see you compensated – if only a little! – for the hours you devote to us each day. How about considering a $10/year subscription?
To all of you reading this who benefit from Linda’s amazing organizational skills and keen artistic eye, what do you think? Is what this website gives worth $10 to you? Would $10/year break your bank? It seems like it’s time for us to return the support and loyalty that has been so graciously extended to us the last twelve months.”
It is my great pleasure to run this site that has grown to become “the go-to source for all things Zentangle®”. I’m happy to know it is truly appreciated, whether you choose to donate, comment, or simply read and learn and leave feeling inspired.
The reality is that all this takes a whole lot of time. As those of you who run websites can appreciate, a serious effort goes into keeping this resource current and relevant with regular new pattern posts, constantly tracking down patterns, maintaining databases, and replying to the ever-increasing volume of email.
I have considered changing TanglePatterns to a subscription-only-based site, but that is a major undertaking and, more importantly, would limit access for many.
Instead of making that radical kind of change, I ask that if you find TanglePatterns a source of inspiration and helpful resources, you consider taking “a voluntary subscription”. There are three ways of doing this.
You can either click the SUPPORT TanglePatterns button and enter whatever amount you wish, or you can use the SUBSCRIBE button which will subscribe you for $10 annually. Or you can snail mail a check. Your choice.
FYI – For my tax-reporting purposes, when you click on either button you will be taken to my business page (Concept Communiqués, Inc.) on PayPal. And please rest assured that your personal information will NEVER be shared with anyone, period.
You do not have to open an account to use PayPal: after you click either button below, scroll down to the bottom of the PayPal page and look for the “Don’t have a PayPal account” section. You can pay with your bank card or credit card.
1. Donate an amount of your choice
(NOTE: a donation of $10 or more qualifies you to receive the TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE, 2012 Edition.)
OR,
2. Annual Subscription of $10
By selecting this button, you will be “pledging” an annual subscription of $10. If you do not want to to pledge annually, then please choose the “Donate” option above.
OR,
3. Snail mail a check
For folks who really aren’t fond of PayPal, you can snail mail a check to: Linda Farmer, PO Box 3822, St. Augustine FL 32085. Please BE SURE to include your email address so I can email you the “TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE, 2012 Edition” PDF.
Your donation will:
- Help finance server costs – upgraded many times to handle the escalating traffic TanglePatterns receives, now many thousands of page views per day and well over 4 million to date
- Help finance site enhancements and software upgrades that keep the site running smoothly
- Help me devote more time to keeping the site growing (and saving your time!)
- Be most appreciated.
Zentangle® Supplies
As a CZT, I am able to sell official Zentangle supplies. Another way to support this site is to purchase your supplies through me. Regardless of who you make your purchase from whether it’s me, another CZT or the Zentangle site, the prices are identical – we are sworn to this agreement.
Visit my STORE page (see top menu bar) when you are ready to replenish your supplies – or whenever you want to give the gift of Zentangle. The official KIT is a wonderful gift to give yourself and anyone you love.
Amazon Purchases
When you click through any of the Amazon links to purchase items included on TanglePatterns, as an affiliate I earn a few pennies on the dollar. Every little bit helps, so if you’re an Amazon shopper like me it would be really terrific if you’d use my links.
Thanks so much for your support! And Happy Tangling ![]()

Hello, Linda!
I’m from Ukraine
distant country of the former Soviet Union
I was fascinated Zentangle!
Unfortunately, in our country, this occupation is little known ..
However, I dreamed of one day to come for training and also to become a teacher Zentangle!
We do not have to sell books on Zentangle, so I’m mastering the self-images for information on the Internet and found your site!
I am happy for your project donated $ 10
To order the book through Amazonor or Zentangle Kit to our country is quite expensive, so I will be glad to receive your e-book
)
I hope it will help me learn more Zentangle!
PS sorry for the clumsy English – I use Google translator
