The TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE, 2012 Edition is emailed to everyone who has financially supports TanglePatterns with either a donation, a paid annual subscription, or the purchase of an Official Zentangle® Kit (the sole qualifying purchase) from my TanglePatterns store. Your financial support helps maintain and grow this resource and is greatly appreciated.
It’s not too late to get your copy … read on.
I’m getting comments and inquiries that are best answered here for others who have the same questions (and, as much as I love hearing from you all, save me the time of answering them again!).
1. “What is it?”
The TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE is a 15-page, 15 MB, interactive e-book (images are hotlinked to their post on this site) created as my thank-you gift to everyone who financially supports TanglePatterns.com. It contains all the tangles on the site from May 2010 through December 31, 2011. You can print out the TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE for your own personal use – many have spiral bound it for convenience. [Note: It will be completely updated next January with a 2013 Edition.] You can read what others are saying about it here.
2. “I donated (or subscribed) but I haven’t received the TANGLE GUIDE”
The TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE is emailed to the email address associated with your PayPal transaction. Everyone who has financially supported the site should have their copy already.
If you use an email address with PayPal that you don’t regularly check, please look in that email inbox and junk folder. Then if you still can’t locate the TANGLE GUIDE please email me with both your PayPal email address and your regular email address. (I need both addresses so I know you are really you.)

3. “I subscribe to your email/newsletter but I haven’t received the TANGLE GUIDE”
The email subscription is a free service from Feedburner and does not contribute financially to support the site. If you would like a copy of the TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE, please visit the Donate page.
4. “I purchased an Official Zentangle® Kit but I haven’t received the TANGLE GUIDE”
If you purchase the Kit from my TanglePatterns store you will receive the TANGLE GUIDE. If you purchased your Kit from another vendor and you would like the TANGLE GUIDE please visit the Donate page.
5. “I just donated (or subscribed, or purchased a Kit from your store), when will I receive the TANGLE GUIDE?”
I send it out as promptly as I can and generally you can expect it within 24 hours of your PayPal transaction or my receipt of your check if you use snail mail. It is not sent out automatically, I email it myself.
Unless otherwise instructed, the TANGLE GUIDE will be sent to the email address associated with your PayPal transaction. Please see #8 below.
6. “I’m not able to save the file because it says I need a password.”
SAVE the attachment from your email to your computer first, then open the saved file.
Do not OPEN the attachment directly from your email and then try to save it because you will get that error message.
7. “The file I received is broken, there are some blank squares in it.”
As my cover letter requested, please read the second page it describes the features and explains the blank squares so you understand how the GUIDE works.
8. A note about receiving large file attachments in your email
comcast.net, charter.net, earthlink, windstream, sbcglobal, bigpond.net.au, and several other large service providers block large email attachments so I’m not able to deliver to those email addresses. If you use an email address from any of these for your PayPal transaction, please read on …
If you don’t already have another email address that can accept large files, I highly recommend you open a gmail account: http://mail.google.com.
In either case, please email me to let me know both your new address and your PayPal address ASAP so I can connect you up and send you the GUIDE.
Please note that this does not change your weekly email subscription address. Should you wish to do that:
- Use the unsubscribe link in one of your weekly email/newsletters to unsubscribe your old address.
- Then revisit the TanglePatterns home page and sign up with your new email address.
- Confirm your new email in the email notice you receive from Feedburner (an essential step!).
The free email subscription service is run by Google Feedburner and for your own spam protection I am unable to change subscriptions or add new ones.
9. Corrections
Oopsie! The first mailing of the TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE contained two errors of attribution on page 3. The tangle Agua is by Christina Vandervlist, CZT, and Bitten is by Carole Ohl, CZT. Mea culpa.
