One Zentangle A Day

One Zentangle A Day One Zentangle A Day, by CZT Beckah Krahula is now available.

The book is available from Amazon – List price: $22.99, currently selling on Amazon for $12.98. (128 pages, Quarry Books. 9.1 x 8.7 x 0.4 inches)

Here’s what the publisher has to say: “One Zentangle A Day is a beautiful interactive book teaching the principles of Zentangles as well as offering fun, related drawing exercises. Zentangles are a new trend in the drawing and paper arts world. The concept was started by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas as a way to practice focus and meditation through drawing, by using repetitive lines, marks, circles, and shapes. …

This step-by-step book is divided into 6 chapters, each with 7 daily exercises. Each exercise includes new tangles to draw in sketchbooks, teaches daily tile design, and offers tips on related art principles, and contains an inspirational “ZIA” (Zentangle Inspired Art) project on a tile that incorporates patterns, art principals (sic), and new techniques.”

One Zentangle A Day is my “Go To Book”. I have numerous Zentangle books but this one is my base. It teaches you numerous tangles and provides daily goals to incorporate what you have learned.

I totally agree Tammy. I learned most everything about tangles from One Zentangle a Day. It is definitely good to go back and pick up the stuff that was missed the first time around. In fact, I think I’ll do that. It would be fun to go through it again. I’ll bet my tiles come out completely different than the first ones I did. 😀

Thank you very much. Recently discovered this type of art and am anxious to begin. Have been very impressed with what people are able to achieve.

I agree I learn alot on one zentangle a day. All the zentangle books help alone with classes I took.

  • Mary

I’m a beginner in this art form, this book would really help me.

      Hi Mary
Get it! I got it 6 months ago and have worked my way through it and I have found it fantastic for broadening you mind to more than just drawing the odd tangle pattern… Color, texture, shading etc. etc.

Used in conjunction with this wonderful website you have months if not years of inspiration to last you.

I am brand new to tangling and I bought this book just a few days ago. I have already seen improvement in my doodles. The book gives the newbie a firm starting position that helps cut down on tangle overwhelm.

One Zentangle A Day is my go to book. I have many Zentangle books I like but this is my favorite because it offers lessons which can be interpreted in many forms.

  • Mary

    Just ordered my copy today!

I also have the One Zentangle a Day book and in my opinion it is the best book on the market, especially if you do not have a CZT available. Many of the other books have more tangles in them than teaching you the ins and outs of zentangle.

This book is incredible! It reintroduced me to the art world. There is such an abundance of new art materials on the market today, Micron pens, inktense pencils, watercolor markers, belly roll pens, etc..etc…etc… These items did not exist in my youth. Not only did this book restore my confidence in drawing it was the launching pad for my renewed interest in watercolors and colored pencils. It also has become an extension of my yoga practice. The meditative aspects of this art are unsurpassed. I have several other Zentangle books but I must say for a beginner or an experienced artist it his book is at the top.

I purchased this book a couple years ago. I absolutely love it. I plan to get one for my grandkids as I do not want to share mine! Easy to follow lessons, a good source of information and lesson plans that make you want to continue on everyday to the end of the book and learn more. A wonderful way to wind down at day’s end.
