Tangle Refresher 76

Tangle Refresher!Every other week when it’s time to put together another Refresher, I get so much enjoyment out of looking back to see what was new a year ago.

With lovely new tangles being added all the time, it’s easy for their predecessors to get lost in the shuffle.

Do you ever go back and admire your early Zentangle® efforts?

It’s a fun and interesting thing to do because not only will you be reminded of your artistic progress, you will also be reminded of what was going on in your life at that time.

Each beautiful tile is a record of your presence in that particular space and time, a non-verbal diary if you will.

So if you haven’t done it in a while, I urge you to get out your tiles and admire and appreciate them anew. Enjoy the pleasure you experienced with each new tangle and each new tile.

And give thanks in your own way for the wonderful gift that is Zentangle in your life.

The Tangle Refresher series, aka Buried Treasure, spotlights hidden tangle gems from the past. It can remind you of patterns you might not have used for a while or introduce you to patterns you haven’t come across yet.

Here are five more tangle pattern gems and a Tangle Refresher from a year (or two) ago for your tangling pleasure. Remember to check out the “More Good Stuff” links below too. Zenful tangling!

BTW as you visit these tangles please Tweet or “like” them on Facebook so they get shared with a wider audience. Sharing links are on the left side of each pattern’s page. Thanks!

Judy C – Linda, what a wonderful web site! I am a beginner and found Zentangle accidentally because I was standing near the book rack in a craft store waiting for my sister to choose yarn. I saw a word I that I had never heard in a craft store or anywhere else and I picked up the book about Zentangles and opened it. Well, you know what happened. I fell deep into the book, began to see Zentangles everywhere and looked to see if a CZT lives in my town. There is one but she is too busy to see me till June, so I am winging it till then. But I can’t stop. And I see patterns everywhere. I am not great at it yet but love tangling anyway and this site is just Heaven. Thank you for adding me to your list so soon.
    Hugs
    Judy
