How to draw CREZN’T

Zentangle pattern: Crezn't. Image © Linda Farmer and TanglePatterns.com. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. You may use this image for your personal non-commercial reference only. The unauthorized pinning, reproduction or distribution of this copyrighted work is illegal.Crezn’t is a new tangle pattern from Canadian CZT Margaret Bremner.

When I saw Crezn’t I got to wondering how many of Margaret’s tangles I’ve featured on the site, and by checking her tag in the FIND PATTERNS BY TAG section in the left sidebar I discovered this makes her 28th addition! Lots of great patterns to feed our Zentangle® creativity.

Crezn’t reminds me a tad of Rose Brown’s Cayke, but Crezn’t starts with parallel lines separating the rows of loopy curves. Margaret features her new tangle with variations in a Zentangle that “shows it with the addition of circles. The background can have the thin lines as shown, or you can fill it in black.”

In my example, I used thin lines and added the alternating black fill. I restrained myself from adding shading but I think it would look great.

Margaret illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Crezn’t here on her blog. She also uses it in a tile-sized ZIA of a sweet fantasy neighborhood.

Check out the tag margaretb for more of Margaret’s patterns on TanglePatterns.com.

Very nice pattern with many variations. I love the little houses (so cute). Thank you for sharing.

Thank youfor awakening a new artist spirit in me after years of letting life get in the way of my passion of drawing. Zentangle is a true blessing for these 64 year old fingers.
    Thank you again,
    Stephanie
