How to draw COOL BEANS

Zentangle pattern: Cool BeansCool Beans is a grid-based tangle pattern from Lynn Herrin of Atlanta, GA, and it’s her first tangle on the site.

Cool Beans almost has a tribal or mask-like feel to it and it looks good at any stage of its steps. The final inking-in of Step 5 is a very soothing process and really gives this tangle punch.

Lynn introduces herself:

I have been doodling all my life and I dabble in calligraphy and lettering. I can’t draw, but love art. I found a picture of a tangle on the Internet and thought it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, so I kept looking on the web until I found more. I think your website was the first real website that I found, and I was immediately hooked! That was several months ago, and now I visit many websites and I am constantly working to learn new tangles! I just love it! I have 5 sons and 6 grandchildren. I knit, crochet and quilt, but gardening is my first love. I work full time at an insurance carrier as an Audit Analyst.

Here are Lynn’s steps for drawing Cool Beans. She also shows one possible variation and a completed Zentangle featuring Cool Beans.
