Zentangle Jewelry

Zentangle® JewelryWant to get your Christmas gift-making underway with thrift and style?

In this video CZT® Suzanne McNeill shows examples of lovely Zentangle®-inspired jewelry made by several CZTs and designers, including her own bottle cap jewelry.

She demonstrates how to make a simple inexpensive tag necklace, a unique and distinctive handmade gift.

These projects and many more are found in the new Zentangle 5 book that focuses on Zentangle®-inspired jewelry and includes 40 more tangles to add to your repertoire.

Suzanne also refers to Sandy Bartholmew’s AlphaTangle: A Truly Tangled Alphabet, and Yoga for Your Brain in this video and links for reviews of these are given below.

Enjoy the inspiration!

Thanks for this cool little video. It’s inspiring and instructive to watch Suzanne create. I love the bit of jazzy music at the end — can you tell us who that is playing?

Interesting video – I would like to know – where did you get the bottle cap with the fluted/scalloped edges?

  • I love the videos you do Susanne!!! TFS them w/us all. I have been tangling on dominoes for a few months now! Want to put it on shrink plastic too!!!
I was really impressed on the barbed wire you did!

Hi Susanne, HELP!!!! I can’t keep up with it all. What’s next in store? Love the scalloped bottle tops, haven’t seen anything like them here in Oz. Have used flattened beer bottle tops but now I want the scalloped ones. And thanks for the idea of using the tags. Have quite a few to use up, can’t wait to get started. Peggie

    Hello fellow tanglers,
I’m so glad that you enjoyed the video. I have had so much fun wearing my jewelry… now I am shopping for black and white clothing that resembles zentangle® so I can wear the jewelry more often – and of course, jewelry really shows up well with basic black.
The scallop bottle caps are from ‘botttlecapco.com’. I love them too and they are so easy to decorate. By the way, in order to help you out, I try to list unusual or hard-to-find suppliers on the last page of my books.
Please send your suggestions on what you would like to see demonstrated in new videos… I’d love to hear from you. suzannebmcneill@hotmail.com
    Sincerely, Suzanne

Hello to all fellow zentanglers! Can anyone share with me a good non yellowing sealant/protectant that can be used to coat jewelry items to prevent damage from water splatters or smudging? Everything I have tried smears the micron ink! 🙁 Thanks for any thoughts!Kym

What fun. I would like to do this in our gourd meeting here. The jewelry will have to be easy on and off for the older folks.
