How to draw HUGS AND KISSES

Zentangle pattern: Hugs and Kisses. Image © Linda Farmer and TanglePatterns.com. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. You may use this image for your personal non-commercial reference only. The unauthorized pinning, reproduction or distribution of this copyrighted work is illegal.Hugs and Kisses is a tangle created by Norwich, Connecticut CZT® Jeanne Zuzel, and her first on TanglePatterns.

Jeanne introduces herself and relates the charming story of how her tangle pattern came about.

“Jeanne, a holistic nurse in private practice offers client-centered care in a calm and soothing environment.  Her 25 years of experience and expertise are in the areas of Stress and Pain Management, Oncology, crisis intervention, and adult and adolescent wellness. Jeanne combines her nursing experience and practical application of expressive art concepts to offer clients and students the opportunity for ultimate personal expression, growth and healing.

Jeanne has been using the Zentangle® form and process with wonderful results in her private holistic nursing practice. As a nurse educator, Jeanne is teaching Zentangle® classes in Connecticut. As an adjunct to the faculty of local schools and colleges, she has introduced Zentangle® as a method of creative expression and stress management. In addition to her private practice, Jeanne, an international speaker, offers seminars in Healing Touch, stress management, and wellness programs.

The tangle  Hugs and Kisses was created while observing a friend comforting her small child, she had on a hand knit sweater with a similar pattern. As the child ran her fingers across the pattern, she calmed down and fell asleep.”

Below are Jeanne’s steps for drawing Hugs and Kisses. Jeanne’s notes suggest a couple of variation options and I chose to combine both in my example.

Thank you Jeanne, I really love this mesh tangle, will be useful for those fill in spaces too between the more solid patterns and will make a stunning background. Ideas are starting already. Look forward to more of your tangles. Peggie Schurch

Thank you, Jeanne! This is a great tangle pattern!! It looks like chain-link fencing. Not only will I use it in a Zentangle , I will use it in other art, as well. Linda
